It depends on your nationality. Citizens of about 24 countries (including UK, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Russia) are currently visa-free for 45 days. Citizens of ASEAN countries (Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, etc.) have bilateral agreements for 14–30 days. Everyone else needs either an e-visa or a visa on arrival. Not sure which applies to you? An e-visa is approved before you travel and issued as a PDF. You present it at immigration alongside your passport — no separate payment at the airport. A visa on arrival requires an approval letter (which we arrange) that you present at check-in to board your flight. You then pay a stamping fee in cash (USD) at the Vietnam immigration counter when you land. E-visa is generally simpler and more convenient. VOA can be useful if your travel dates are uncertain.
Vietnam e-visas are valid for up to 90 days per issue. You can choose single entry ($25 government fee) or multiple entry ($50 government fee). The 90 days starts from the date printed on your visa — not necessarily the day you enter. Note: e-visas cannot be extended. If you need longer, you’d need to exit and apply for a new one, or switch to a different visa type before your e-visa expires.
In most cases, yes. E-visa rejections are usually due to photo issues, mismatched dates, or incomplete information — not a permanent ban. We review why previous applications were rejected and address the specific issue before resubmitting. Please inform us if you’ve had a previous rejection and we’ll advise accordingly.
Yes. We use your passport scan and photo solely to complete your visa application on the official Vietnamese government portal. Your documents are handled by our visa specialists only and deleted from our records within 7 days of your visa being issued. We never sell, share, or use your data for any other purpose.
Rejection rates with our service are very low (under 2%) because we verify everything before submitting. In the rare event of a rejection, we investigate the reason, advise on the best course of action, and resubmit free of charge if the rejection was due to an error on our part. Government fees ($25/$50) are non-refundable as they are paid to the Vietnamese government, but our service fee is fully refunded.
