Can You Change Your Entry Point After Getting E-Visa?

📅 July 2026⏱ 1 min read✍️ EntryVN Team
⚡ Quick Answer
No — Vietnam e-visa is locked to the entry and exit checkpoints you specified. To change them, you must apply for a new e-visa ($25 single entry / $50 multiple entry).

When applying at evisa.gov.vn, you select your intended entry checkpoint (e.g., Noi Bai Airport, Hanoi) and exit checkpoint (e.g., Tan Son Nhat, HCMC). These are printed on your approved e-visa and cannot be changed after approval.

If your travel plans change — say you now want to fly into Da Nang instead of Hanoi — you’ll need to apply for a new e-visa with the correct entry point. The original fee ($25 single / $50 multiple) is non-refundable.

✅ Pro tip: Select major hubs (HAN or SGN) even if you’re unsure of your exact entry airport. Immigration officers generally process you at whatever airport you arrive at, though this isn’t officially guaranteed for mismatched e-visas.

For flexible itineraries, apply close to your travel dates when plans are confirmed to avoid needing to reapply.
