Liquid Rules on Flights in Vietnam: What’s Allowed?
In carry-on: each container max 100ml, all bottles together in one clear 1-liter zip bag per passenger.
Vietnam’s airport security follows the standard international LAG (Liquids, Aerosols, Gels) rule. Any liquid, gel, paste, or aerosol in your carry-on must be in a container of 100ml or less, and all containers must fit inside a single transparent resealable bag of no more than 1 liter — one bag per person.
What Counts as a Liquid
- Water, drinks, and beverages bought before security
- Skincare, sunscreen, and makeup in liquid/gel form
- Toothpaste, shampoo, and other toiletries
- Contact lens solution
Exceptions
Prescription medication and baby food/formula are allowed above 100ml, but you should be ready to declare them to security staff and may need to show supporting documents (prescription, doctor’s note) for larger quantities.
