Is Vietnam E-Visa Single or Multiple Entry?

⚡ Quick Answer
Vietnam e-visa comes in two types: single entry ($25) and multiple entry ($50). Both are valid for up to 90 days. As of 2026.

When applying at evisa.gov.vn, you choose between two options:

TypeFeeWhat it means
Single entry$25 USDEnter Vietnam once. If you exit (e.g. to Cambodia), the visa is used up — you need a new one to re-enter.
Multiple entry$50 USDEnter and exit Vietnam as many times as you want within the 90-day validity window.

Both types count validity from the issue date on the visa, not from your first entry. Apply as close to your travel dates as possible to avoid wasting validity days.

Example (multiple entry, $50): Visa issued July 1. Enter July 10, cross to Cambodia July 20, re-enter July 25 — all valid. Visa expires September 29.
⚠️ Single-entry mistake: Buying single entry ($25) then crossing to Laos or Cambodia means you cannot re-enter Vietnam on the same visa. Always choose multiple entry if you plan any border crossings.
