Is Vietnam E-Visa Single or Multiple Entry?
⚡ Quick Answer
Vietnam e-visa comes in two types: single entry ($25) and multiple entry ($50). Both are valid for up to 90 days. As of 2026.
When applying at evisa.gov.vn, you choose between two options:
| Type | Fee | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Single entry | $25 USD | Enter Vietnam once. If you exit (e.g. to Cambodia), the visa is used up — you need a new one to re-enter. |
| Multiple entry | $50 USD | Enter and exit Vietnam as many times as you want within the 90-day validity window. |
Both types count validity from the issue date on the visa, not from your first entry. Apply as close to your travel dates as possible to avoid wasting validity days.
✅ Example (multiple entry, $50): Visa issued July 1. Enter July 10, cross to Cambodia July 20, re-enter July 25 — all valid. Visa expires September 29.
⚠️ Single-entry mistake: Buying single entry ($25) then crossing to Laos or Cambodia means you cannot re-enter Vietnam on the same visa. Always choose multiple entry if you plan any border crossings.
